Karachi, February 25, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) is building a new hospital facility – SIUT Children and Cardiac Hospital.
The Ground breaking ceremony of SIUT Children and Cardiac Hospital will be performed by Prof. Mehmet Haberal, President Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation (MESOT) and President Baskent University Turkey, which will be held on Friday, 27th Feb 2015.
Prof. Mehmet Haberal, a pioneer in the fields of transplantation and burn treatment in Turkey and the world, is renowned in the international medical community. He is the founder and president of Turkish transplantation Society, The Turkish Burn and Fire Disaster Society, the Middle East Burn and Fire Disaster Society, and the Founder and President of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation. He is also the president of the board of directors of the World Academy of Medical, Biomedical and Ethical Sciences.
Prof. Haberal dispatched two plane loads of relief goods for the 2005 earthquake victims of Azad Kashmir which was amongst the first International relief supplies for the people. He again sent help for the victims of Baluchistan Earthquake and Sindh Flood affectees.
After the ground breaking ceremony, the unveiling of Model of the 13 storey vertical building of SIUT Children and Cardiac Hospital will take place at Agha Hasan Abedi Auditorium, Dewan Farooq Medical Centre SIUT.
The proposed 235 bedded hospital will cater the needs of the children in specified treatments such as Paediatric Urology, Nephrology, transplantation and Paediatric and Adult Cardiology.
