Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said that the present government is taking effective measures to tackle the climate change challenges.

In a message on the occasion of World Environment Day, he said that a clean environment is the guarantor of a healthy society and protection of the environment is the national responsibility of all of us.

Jam Kamal added that work is underway to convert brick kilns to the zigzag model and shifting of mining crushing plants out of the cities to reduce air pollution.

He further said that approval has been accorded for establishment of a state of the art Environmental Assessment and Testing Laboratory in Hub.

The Chief Minister said that a Solid Waste Management project is being launched in four districts of the province.
