Karachi, November 25, 2018 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh Imran Ismail today paid a detailed visit to Saylani Welfare Trust (S.W.T) at Bahadurabad. He went round different sections of the Trust and apprised himself of the food, education, medical and other welfare facilities being extended to the financially weak segment of the society. The Governor Sindh appreciated the services of S.W.T for the people of this country, purely on humanitarian grounds. He also assured the management of all out support in promotion of their aim and cause.
The Governor Sindh, later on conferred degrees to the successful candidates of the Al- Badr University. Medals were also awarded to the top of the line students of the University. The Governor observed that the facilities under the Trust was being run in an advanced and systematic manner with utmost honesty and dedication. “The services and role of the management is laudable and in fact inspirational”, he added. The Governor Sindh also announced Rs- One million as donation for the S.W.T.
Imran Ismail said that the philanthropists should come forward and start different welfare projects. “Federal Government is committed to bring improvements in life of a common man. Endeavours are underway to provide Shelter Homes to shelterless people, under the special directives of PM, besides other uplift projects”, he reiterated.
He said that the Federal Government has decided to launch a health card scheme for the people living below the poverty line. “Up to 6 lac medical cover would be ensured to such people annually”, he added. The Governor Sindh was accompanied with MNA Aalamgir Khan, MNA Arsalan Ghumman and MPA Khurram Sherzaman on the occasion.
