Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad on Tuesday ordered the law enforcing agencies to expedite their action against dacoits in the interior parts of the province. Talking to Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wassan at the Governor House, he said law enforcing agencies need to be extra vigilant and must take swift action against the criminals as well as the terrorists.
“Concrete and meaningful action against criminals in each and every part of the province is crucial for peace as well as social and economic well being of the people,” said the Governor of Sindh. He on the occasion also expressed his satisfaction about certain measures adopted for improvement in law and order situation in the province.
Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said public expectation that improvement in the law and order in Sindh would be on lasting basis is their right and also a cause of restoration of their confidence.Sindh Governor said law enforcers also needed to be encouraged and this must be supplemented with concrete measures to keep their morale high.
“This is highly appreciable that despite resource constraints they are delivering,” said the Governor. Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said this further established that a little support can help the police to meet other serious challenges with much higher success rate.
The Sindh Governor directed the Home Minister to ensure that action against criminals and anti social elements as well as terrorists is undertaken without any distinction. Sindh Home Minister apprised the Governor about the measures recently taken to counter crime and terrorism.Manzoor Wassan said steps were being taken on solid grounds to weed out crime and terrorism from Sindh.
