Governor for pre-emptive strategy against possible outbreak of Dengue

Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has ordered all concerned department to evolve a joint, pre-emptive strategy against possible outbreak of Dengue Fever in the province. In a meeting on Tuesday, he said reports pouring out from different parts of the province demand that people are urgently and properly sensitized about their vulnerability to the viral infection.

Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said concerted efforts must be made by all government departments for cleanliness and improved hygienic and sanitary conditions.”This is extremely crucial prior to Eid ul Qurban when risks for viral infections aggravate otherwise too,” said the Governor. Fumigation against dengue and for other infections, he said must be on frequent basis.

“Since dengue fever is peculiar to urban areas therefore equal focus must be on developed, semi developed as well as slum areas,” said the Governor. He also appealed to the masses to realize their responsibilities in prevention of the ailment.
