Government will demand travellers leaving Pakistan to present a certificate on polio vaccination

Islamabad, May 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): As of 1 June 2014, the Government of Pakistan will demand all travellers leaving Pakistan to present a certificate on polio vaccination. This has been agreed on the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).

All citizens, who are currently in Pakistan or who plan to visit Pakistan in near future are advised to contact their doctor to ensure that their polio vaccination is updated and to get an international certificate on the vaccination. The Embassy recommends that you use the small yellow vaccination book issued by the WHO.
