Government taking steps to promote foreign investment: Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh

Karachi, April 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Rtd) Zahid Kurban Alavi said that provincial government is taking steps to promote the foreign investment in the Sindh and for this purpose provision of facilities to investors is top priority.

This he said while presiding a high level meeting at C.M House on Tuesday which was attended by Chairman Sindh Board of Investment, Zubair Motiwala, Provincial Secretary Finance Sohail Rajput and other senior officers of Sindh Board of Revenue.

The matters related to projects running under Foreign Investment including wind power energy projects in Thatta, Marbal city, Education city, Pak-Japan Special Economic Zone and Khairpur Economic Zone were discussed in details.

Chief Minister Sindh urged upon the participants of the meeting to take effective steps to remove the obstacles in projects running under foreign investment. “Encouragement of Foreign investment will not only strengthening the economy of the country but it will also create the employment opportunities” he added. Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh Shazar Shamoon and Secretary Land Utilization Mr. Saqib Ahmed Soomro also attended the meeting.
