Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announce Rs800,000 compensation to heirs of eight deceased persons on account of death caused due to breaking of chair lift at village Ramait

Peshawar, April 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Home and Tribal Affairs Department has announced an amount of total Rs. 800,000 (rupees eight lakhs) as compensation to the legal heirs of the eight deceased persons on account of their death caused due to breaking of Chair Lift at Village Ramait (Swat District of Malakand Division). As a result of this incident, eight persons had fallen down in River Swat on 16th October, 2012 and died.

According to details, the victims includes Sher Zada S/O Khalilur Rahman, Sher Ali S/O Sher Zada, Arzomand S/O Bakhtyar, Mst. Aqal Mina W/O Mian Gul Jan, Mst. Gul Saba W/O Ajmal Khan, Mst. Satreen W/O Jan Muhammad, Suliman S/O Ajmal Khan and Khaista Gul S/O Kigay.

Moreover, the Commissioner, Malakand Division at Saidu Sharif has been directed that the above amount may be met out from already released en-block allocation placed at his disposal for onward payment to the legal heirs of the said eight victims immediate at the rate of rupees one lakhs each case through the District Administration / Revenue staff after observance of all codal formalities, policy and procedure laid down by the provincial government in this regard, says a press release issued by the Home
