Glowing tributes paid to martyred youth in IOK

Srinagar, January 27, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to the two youth martyred by Indian troops in Khonmoh area of Srinagar, yesterday.

Senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the continued atrocities by Indian troops will not be able to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination. “Supreme sacrifices of our sons are painful but these are the biggest human investment in the ongoing struggle,” he added.

He said that the Indian forces were trying to stifle the voice of Kashmiris by committing all sorts of brutalities but the gallant people of Kashmir were demonstrating exemplary steadfastness in their struggle for the cause of freedom. He said that priceless sacrifices of Kashmiri youth had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the international level and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar paying tributes to the martyred youth said that the sacrifices offered by the Kashmiri youth were the priceless asset of the ongoing liberation movement. A delegation of Hurriyat forum comprising Ghulam Nabi Najar, Abdul Majeed Wani, Jaffer Kashmiri and Muhammad Akbar visited the families of recently martyred youth of Pulwama, Shopian, Naaznepora and Rajpora and expressed solidarity with them. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also spoke to these families over phone and expressed solidarity with them.

Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo, Imtiaz Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War, Ghulam Nabi Waseem and Yasmeen Raja in their separate statements in Srinagar paid tribute to the martyred youth and said the Khanmoh operation was a grim reminder of the planned genocide being carried out by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

A spokesman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement in Srinagar, paying tributes to the martyrs, said Kashmiri youth are sacrificing their lives for a great cause and the people of Kashmir will continue the martyrs’ mission till complete success. He also expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
