Lahore, March 15, 2017 (PPI-OT):Girl Students getting Khidmat Cards and mother of one girl student also expressed their views during ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on the occasion of launching of “Khadim-e-Punjab Zewar-e-Taleem Program”. Haya Batool of Government Girls Model High School Okara told that her father was servant in Municipal Corporation and died due to cancer. She said we are four sisters and one brother and after death of her father, the responsibility of all the family lies on her mother. She said we study in government schools therefore; fee and books are no problem.
Her one sister got a solar panel under Khadim-e-Punjab Ujala Programme while the other achieved a laptop, she added. She said that Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken revolutionary steps in educational sector and his name will be written in golden letters in the history. She said earlier, they were receiving monthly stipend of Rs. 200 which has now been increased by Chief Minister to one thousand rupees. She said they are happy that they will fulfill their many needs and poverty will not become a hindrance in acquiring education by girls or boys of resourceless families.
She congratulated Shehbaz Sharif and added that she will always pray for him. Tahira Yasmeen, mother of a girl student of Mustafabad, Kasur obtaining Khidmat Card, told that her income is very low and it is difficult to meet the expenditure of her family. Her daughters are studying in Government High Secondary School and she is thankful to the Chief Minister on increasing monthly scholarship from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000.
She said her one daughter got solar panel under Khadim-e-Punjab Ujala Programme which is still illuminating her house while the other daughter obtained scholarship under Punjab Educational Endowment Fund who passed F.Sc examination with good marks. It is her desire that her children should study in prestigious schools, she added. She said the heart of Shehbaz Sharif beats for poor man and they are thankful to him for his poor friendly policies. She said that Shehbaz Sharif has created ease for the daughters of the nation and Allah Almighty will reward him.
A girl student Rabia of Kasur said that no daughter is poor for her father, all the daughters are rich for their fathers but the resources become a hurdle. She said every student wants to get education in a good school. She said that Shehbaz Sharif by increasing monthly scholarship to Rs. 1000 has done an excellent work for us and Allah Almighty will give him more achievements and she will never forget him.
The Chief Minister especially called an orphan girl student Bushra of Okara at the stage and seated her on the seat of Provincial Minister Rana Mashhood and expressed affection to her. Bushra told that her father died two years ago and they are leading a miserable life. She said that lakhs of families will benefit from the step of Shehbaz Sharif, taken for increasing monthly scholarship for girl students from Rs. 200 to Rs. 1000.
