Srinagar, July 28 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, visited a private clinic in Srinagar for medical check-up.
A spokesman of the forum patronised by Syed Ali Gilani, said that Dr Nayeem Zafar Gilani and Merajuddin Kalwal accompanied the veteran leader.
Senior gastroenterologist, Dr Mohammad Sultan Khuro examined him at his clinic and some important investigations were done during consultation.
The spokesman said that a heavy contingent of police accompanied the veteran Hurriyet leader from his Hyderpora residence to the clinic at Qamarwari. He said that the police personnel were also deployed on road from Hyderpora to Qamarwari.
He expressed surprise over the presence of police. “Only some days back Director General Police Ashok Prasad claimed that they are going to release Syed Ali Gilani and now he undergoes medical tests in police custody,” he said.
During his brief interaction with media persons outside the clinic, the Veteran leader appealed the people of Badgam to maintain brotherhood. He maintained that those fomenting hatred in the area were consciously or unconsciously acting as tool for the Indian agencies.
