Srinagar, December 01, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani expressing deep grief and sorrow over the death of Shams-ud-Din Koota, father of an illegally detained youth, has prayed for the deceased and sympathized with the bereaved family. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that Shams-ud-Din’s son Bilal Ahmad Koota had been languishing in a jail of Bangalore in India for the past 9 years and the detention of the son had adversely affected the health of the father.
Shams developed heart ailments, which eventually caused his death, he added. “In the absence of his son, Shams-ud-Din had to take care of the family of Bilal Ahmad. He struggled hard to secure release of his son, but in vain,” the statement added. Meanwhile, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet visited the residence of Shams-ud-Din and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
