Four power plants of 805 Megawatt resume power generation

Lahore, August 27, 2013 (PPI-OT): The spokesman of National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has said that four power plants of 805 MW capacity have started power generation which were shut down yesterday, owing to technical fault.

The spokesman further said that the Unit No 1 and V (One and Five) Muzaffargarh power plant having capacity of 350 MW and Liberty power plant of 200 MW have been closed/shut down due to technical fault today, resultantly power generation of 550 MW has been reduced in the overall system.

While updating about power situation, the spokesman said that national system is generating 13600 MW, demand stood at 16800 MW whereas shortfall is recorded at 3200 MW.
