Four Indonesian observers joining other international experts to monitor polls in Pakistan

Islamabad, April 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): Four Indonesian observers will be joining a number of other international experts to monitor the election process in Pakistan, this being the first ever instance for the archipelago. These observers are Yohanes Bosco, Johny Barliyanta, Pipit Apriani, Taibah Istiaqamah Bayati, from Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) and Nursanita Nasution, a former Member of the House of Representatives of Republic of Indonesia, says a press release received here today from Jakarta, Indonesia.

As per their mandate, observers are to determine how free and fair elections are being held, and elections remain rigging free. They are part of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) mission which in all dispatching 57 observers.

The Election Commission welcomed Indonesian observers from Indonesia who have adequate experience and knowledge in this field. The 4-member observer team is currently completing pre-departure formalities and is likely to reach Pakistan next week.
