Islamabad: A four days Pak-China business forum exhibition ends, which was organized by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT).
The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali was a chief guest on the occasion. On this occasion the Federal Minister expressed that by organized of such and impressive forum it is evident that they are no less than any world class institution of higher learning which was committed to commercialize the technology.
In these four days event, more than one hundred national and international organizations have installed their different stalls most of them were related to scientific and technology equipments. During this event nearly 25 MoU signed among the various national and international organizations.
The Minister expressed satisfaction upon this and said, “I am sure the agreements and MoUs signed here would play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and exposure of our businesses.” He further said that this would also further our quest for promotion and maturity of our attitude towards entrepreneurship in our youths.
He hoped that such types of agreements will open new venue for the business communities between the two countries. “The signing of MoUs between the businesses represents the beginning of a long-term partnership that promises to yield great benefits to us in terms of research and commercialization.”
The Minister said that now it is the time to realized that it is necessary to think locally and act globally in this rapidly converging environment. He hoped that for Pakistan, these partnerships represent a significant milestone in our efforts to internationalize our business, “it has now become imperative to include an international perspective in our core business of teaching, research and commercialization services” the Minister said.
The Federal Minister appreciated the role of students and faculty members for organize such a fruitful exhibition. The Minister said, it is evident that the potential of our students and faculty are world class and unmatchable” he said that not only in organizing this exhibition but the role of COMSATS Institute for organizing the COMSATS ministerial meeting is very appreciable.
Speaking on the occasion, ambassador of China Mr. Liu Jain said that Pak-China friendship are time tested. They are close partner in every field including science and technology. He hoped that by organizing such fora the business communities and the academia would get maximum benefit.
Earlier rector CIIT and chief organizer Dr. Junaid Zaidi briefed the participants upon the four days exhibition of its objectives and achievements and hoped that with the support of national and international and non government organization such exhibitions would be arranged regularly.
