Four dacoits arrested from forest area near Pir Sohawa Chowk

Islamabad: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police on Monday busted a notorious gang of dacoits and recovered illegal weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

On a tip off, In-Charge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon constituted a special team under his own supervision including ASI Haider Ali and others. This team raided in jungle area near Pir Sohawa chowk and arrested four dacoits identified as Khalil Ahmed s/o Talib Hussain, Adeeb s/o Muhammad Fazil, Tasir Mehmud s/o Muhammad Ejaz and Waseem s/o Muhammad Afzal. Police also recovered 44 bore gu, 12 bore gun and 30 bore pistol from their possession.

These nabbed persons confessed their involvement in various dacoities and committed to loot the filling station in Lehtrar road Punj Garan, ransacking house of Mutahir Hussain in Ali Pur, looting PCOs in Alipur and near Sultan Foundation.

Further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance of CIA team and directed for more efficient patrolling in future too.
