Four cops injured in Srinagar grenade blast

Srinagar, January 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, at least four policemen were injured in a grenade blast in Srinagar, today. The attacker lobbed a grenade at a police party posted near Zero Bridge in Srinagar which exploded with a bang and injured four policemen including an ASI and two traffic policemen. The injured were evacuated to SMHS hospital for treatment.

SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail Parray confirmed the attack and subsequent injuries to the ASI and two traffic cops. Soon after the attack, the Indian forces cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the attackers. Meanwhile, Indian police arrested a local, Mubarak Ahmad Dar at Chahlan in Kulgam.
