Karachi, May 15, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that foreign hand could not ruled out in the terrorist attack on Bus in Karachi and declared that the government is fighting with these terrorists whether they belonged to Indian secret service RAW or agent of any groups.
Winding up the debate in Sindh Assembly on behalf of the Chief Minister over the resolution moved to condemn the terrorist act on Bus in which 46 innocent people belonged to Ismaili community were killed and many were injured.
Sharjeel Memon said that the country is in grip of the terrorism and pointed out that the operation Zarb-e-Azm could not start if the situation was ideal in the country. He said the forces was engaged in fighting against the terrorism and large number of target killers and criminals involved in extortionists have been arrested.
Appreciating the police and Rengers the minister said that the officers and personnel’s of the police and rangers also killed. Sharjeel Memon said he paid slut to police and Rangers for their sacrifices and nation also proud of them. He said the government have respect for all religious parties but there is no law and mechanism to monitoring the Madarris. He said most of the Madaris teaching religious education but the some of the Madaris also teaching extremists and there is need to monitor these Madaris.
Rejecting the impression of political interference in the transfers and postings in police and pointed out that 90 percent CSP officers posted in the province who were appointed by the establishment not provincial government. The Minister said every person in the country was sad over the killing of innocent 46 Ismaili community members. This community if peaceful and law abiding and they are tax payers.
He pointed out that some of the religious leaders issued Fatwa against the people and added that despite banned on some religious groups such elements are working under other religious organizations. He said there is need to impose ban on all such groups who involved in terrorism.
The Minister said the National Action Plan is implementing in Sindh while the salary of the police have enhanced equal to Punjab and the Rs two million is being paid as compensation to martyred police men and services if being provided there family member. Sharjeel said modern weapon and equipments including bullet proof vehicles also provided to police. He requested not to criticize whole police forces due to bad practice s of some of the policemen.
He said the network of the terrorists and criminals crushed due to operation but it was not 100 percent and government is committed to continue the operation till the last terrorist was not killed. While rejecting the demand of the resignation of the Chief Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon defended the CM and said there was no demand in Punjab and other provinces while they were also affected terrorism.
