Firdous suggests steps for Kashmir settlement

Srinagar, June 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah has asked India to create an atmosphere conducive for settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Addressing a party meeting in Srinagar, Firdous Ahmad Shah said that New Delhi should repeal all draconian laws, pull out troops from the territory, release all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and return mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru as part of confidence building measures for a negotiated settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

He said that the lasting and final solution to the Kashmir dispute lied in the implementation of the UN resolutions on the dispute. On the occasion, he paid glowing tributes to all the Kashmiri martyrs.
