Karachi, June 02, 2016 (PPI-OT): The FPCCI on Thursday expressed grave concern over bomb attack on Chinese engineer in Karachi terming it an attempt on enhanced Pak-China political and economic cooperation and the game changer project of CPEC.
Enemies of Pakistan want to foil development agenda of the government by infusing the feeling of insecurity among Chinese working for the development of Pakistan, said Abdul Rauf Alam, President FPCCI.
Speaking to the business community, he demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in bombing and enhanced security for Chinese across Pakistan with special focus on the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan where their majority is working on different projects.
Abdul Rauf Alam said that China has always played central role in the development of Pakistan while the cooperation has reached to new heights during the recent years which cannot be disrupted by such cowardly attacks.
He said that Pakistan’s GDP has increased by 4.7 percent which is highest in the last ten years, energy situation has improved, confidence of the business community has been restored while CPEC is poised to push economy to new heights which is not acceptable to some enemy countries.
He said that Karachi attack has not been staged by any local terrorist outfit but by the agents of an enemy country.
President FPCCI called for improving special security cell established by Sindh police in which two thousand police officials have been deputed.
He asked all the provinces to give first preference to the security of Chinese so that they can work with peace of mind.
Business community is proud of sacrifices of Army, we have full faith in the abilities of Army led by Gen. Raheel Sharif and that they can face all the internal and external challenges successfully, he concluded.
