Fate of the nations was not changed with the wealth but by adopting the philosophy and thoughts of the national heroes – Minister for Information

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Culture and Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that fate of the nations was not changed with the wealth but by adopting the philosophy and thoughts of the national heroes therefore, he said, we would introduce to our new generation the lines and deeds of our heroes and important personalities of this land through theatre plays.

This he said while talking to media persons after witnessing the first ever theatre play of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on great Pashto Sufi and revolutionary poet, Abdur Rahman Baba at Nishtar Hall Peshawar on Wednesday night.

Mian Iftikhar said that the theatre play on Abdur Rahman Baba was presented in Nishtar Hall for the three consecutive days which was warmly welcomed by the people of different schools of thought particularly youth and praised the said effort of the government. He added that the first play was successful and the people’s response was very encouraging. “We will convey the message of our heroes to new generation through serious theatre”, he said.

The Minister continued that the government would do all its best to convey the message of heroes to each and every corner of the province and all theatre plays would be saved in CDs. In order to promote positive cultural activities in the province, besides making revolving stage in Nishtar Hall its sound and lighting system would also be improved, he furthered.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain while terming the Abdur Rahman Baba as great asset of the entire nation, maintained that beside a Sufi poet of high calibre, Rahman Baba was also a great revolutionary figure who rejected the wealth and preferred sagacious life. He voiced against the exploitation and cruelty for social change in the society.
