Farmer shot dead in Shopian

Srinagar, October 26, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified gunmen abducted and subsequently shot dead a 28-year old farmer in Karewa Manloo area of Shopian district.

Two masked men armed with guns barged into the house of Reyaz Ahmad Khan at Karewa Manloo village and forced him to go with them, police said.“Khan was asked by the gunmen to accompany him to some place,” they added. Khan’s family resisted the attempted abduction, but were overpowered by the abductors.

“Khan was whisked away by the masked men in a car and later his bullet-riddled body was found from Dairo village, the next day,” the police further said. The victim is survived by wife and three daughters.
