Srinagar, April 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the family of a Srinagar youth, Gowhar Ahmed Dar, who was killed by Indian troops in cold-blood in November, last year, has said that despite the completion of the magisterial probe, the puppet regime is in no mood to make the report public, let alone punishing the culprits. The 18-year-old Gowhar Ahmed Dar, a resident of Zainakote HMT, was killed after the troops opened fire on peaceful protesters in the area.
Gowhar Ahmed’s father, Nazir Ahmed Dar, told a local English daily that the authorities had ordered a magisterial probe into the killing of his son. “Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazir Ahmed Baba was appointed inquiry officer. We produced 18 witnesses before the inquiry committee who all held CRPF troops guilty of killing my son,” he said.
Nazir Ahmed Dar said that even after the expiry of six months, the puppet administration was mute over the outcome of the probe report. He said that the puppet regime neither wanted to inform them nor was it ready to make the findings public. “This is injustice towards the family who lost their beloved son,” he said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nazir Ahmed Baba, told the daily that he completed his job and submitted the probe report to the authorities. “The report is lying in Home Department and it is they who have take call on it,” he added.
