Karachi: Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that Faizi Rehmeen Art Gallery Auditorium was the biggest centrally air-conditioned public auditorium of the country. This project had been delayed since last few years and now it will be completed soon.
He said this while chairing a meeting held in his office to review the pace of work on the project of Faizi Rehmeen Art Gallery Auditorium. Municipal Commissioner KMC Matanat Ali Khan, D.G. Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, Financial Advisor Amir Khursheed, Chief Engineer Aslam Parvez, Vice President Nespak Farhat Adil, G.M. Architecture Imran Ahmed Khan and other high officials attended the meeting.
Administrator Karachi said that work on this project will resume in the current month during which a centrally air-conditioning system, foolproof security, latest sound and multimedia system and video surveillance cameras will be installed in the building.
Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed on this occasion directed project consultant and concerned officers to finish the construction work soon. He said that the citizens would soon have a huge and beautiful auditorium with seating capacity for 1800 persons, conference room, cafeteria and a banquet hall, all under the same roof.
Administrator Karachi said that completion of this project would also provide facilities for art and artist community as this would enable them to stage the high standard theatre and cultural programs in this auditorium. He said that KMC was also holding a seminar in the current month to pay homage to famous poet Asadullah Khan Ghalib and a painting exhibition of renowned artists
