Islamabad, November 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): A delegation of parliamentarians from Faisalabad Division led by Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, federal minister for Climate Change, called on the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at his Chamber in the Parliament House today.
The Prime Minister said that Faisalabad is an important commercial and industrial center which is making valuable contribution to the national economy. He further said that due to its commercial and industrial activity, the city has provided employment opportunities to a large number of people in the country.
The Prime Minister said that despite shortages of electricity and gas in the country, the government is doing its utmost for the provision of uninterrupted supply of these essential services so that the wheel of the economy remains in motion
The members of the delegation invited the Prime Minister to address a public meeting, which he accepted in principle.
The members of the delegation apprised the Prime minister about the developmental projects under execution in their respective constituencies and the Prime Minister urged them to expedite the pace of developmental work for the benefit of the people.
The delegation included Ms Raheela Baloch, MoS for Science and Technology, Mr. Tariq Mehmud Bajwa, Malik Nawab Sher Waseer and Ch Saeed Iqbal, Parliamentary Secretary for Communication.
