Karachi, October 26, 2015 (PPI-OT):In a recent meeting between representatives of PTA led by Mr. Gulzar Firoz, Chairman during the visit of the Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Karachi, Mr. Vu Viet Dzung along with Mr. Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Chairman, Pak-Vietnam Business Council, Karachi at PTA’s Central Office, Karachi, the Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Karachi, Mr. Vu Viet Dzung, said that Vietnam footwear industry is growing and the export of footwear alone from Vietnam is around US $9 billion as such Pakistan can have a big share.
Pakistan present export of leather to Vietnam is around US$ 25 million which is hardly 1% of the total leather export of Vietnam. Mr. Gulzar Firoz proposed to take a delegation of PTA to Vietnam in near future and requested Mr. Vu Viet Dzung for his support in the organizing delegation visit to Vietnam.
Mr. Gulzar Firoz informed the Vietnam Head Mr. Vu Viet Dzung about holding of Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2016 which is going to be held on 27-28 January 2016 and invite Vietnamese Shoe and Leather industry to participate in this Mega Leather Show.
Mr. Vu Viet Dzung promised that he will inform the Leather Trade Bodies and will encourage them to visit Lahore to attend this show. On the issue about Visa pointed by Mr. Gulzar Firoz, Chairman, PTA, Mr. Vu Viet Dzung, Head of Vietnam Trade Mission in Karachi, assured that Visa will not be an issue if genuine Pakistani exporters of leather want to visit to Vietnam.
