Karachi, November 09, 2016 (PPI-OT): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has urged upon European Union to extend their support for generation of renewable energy from wind and solar. This is he said during his meeting with European Union Ambassador-designate Mr Jean Francois Francois Cautain who paid courtesy call on Sindh CM here at CM House today. He was accompanied by First Secretary of European Union Mr Pierre Nichel.
The ambassador discussed education projects with the chief minister and also talked on different issues. He congratulated the chief minister on the restoration of law and order in the city which has vast investment and job opportunities. The chief minister said that he has a Rs200 billion annual development programme for the province and has allocated Rs10 billion special package for Karachi.
“I am trying my best to change the shape of the city for which I have obtained a $80 million World Bank assistance for restoration of old areas of the city,” he said. The European Union envoy assured the chief minister that he would work to assist the Sindh government to achieve its goals and programme of development, police training and capacity building of teachers.
