Envoys-designate present credentials to the president

Islamabad, October 02, 2014 (PPI-OT): Envoys designate of Switzerland, Republic of Belarus, Kingdom of Norway, Kingdom of Swaziland, Georgia, Kingdom of Bhutan and Republic of Latvia presented their credentials to President Mamnoon Hussain today at an impressive ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The Ambassadors called on the President separately and presented their credentials. In their separate meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.

The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors to Pakistan and expressed hope that they will work for further cementing the existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan. The President also wished the newly appointed envoys a comfortable and pleasant stay in Pakistan.

Earlier, upon arrival of Mr. Marc Peirre George, Ambassador designate of Switzerland, Mr. Andrei Ermolovich, Ambassador designate of Republic of Belarus, Mr. Lief Holger Larsen, Ambassador designate of Kingdom of Norway, Ms. Zanele Angeline Mdluli, Ambassador designate of Kingdom of Swaziland(Resident in Kuala Lampur), Mr. Loseb Chakhvashvili, Ambassador designate of Georgia (Resident in Tehran), Ms. Pema Choden, Ambassador designate of Kingdom of Bhutan (Resident in Dhaka) and Mr. Igors Apokins, Ambassador designate of Republic of Latvia (Resident in Warsaw) at the Presidency, the National Anthem of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the envoys were presented Guard of Honour by an elegant contingent of Pakistan Army.
