Employees of Ash and Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases Receive Salary Cheque

Karachi: Municipal Commissioner KMC Matanat Ali Khan has said that salaries of employees of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) were paid. Salary cheques were received by MS Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Dr. Nadeem Rajput and Account Officer of KIHD from MS Matanat Ali Khan.

Cheque amounting to Rs88 Lac and Rs74 Lac were given in the head of salaries of employees to ASH and KIHD respectively while summery for making them as permanent employees had been sent to Sindh Government. Earlier Municipal Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan talked to protesting employees and of both organizations and at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Water pump Chowrangi.

On this occasion he said that a total of 1374 employees appointed in medical department and various hospitals and dispensaries of KMC were paid Rs18.4million in the head of salaries each month. The agitating employees on the assurance of MS Matanat Ali Khan for payment of their two months’ salary and dispatch of summery to Sindh Government for giving them permanent status ended the protest and the traffic on these important corridors was restored. The Municipal Commissioner and other officers of KMC were remained there till the full restoration of traffic on these roads.
