Karachi: Municipal Commissioner KMC Matanat Ali Khan has said work on establishment of Emergency Response Centers in Karachi underway speedily. This project was initiated on the directive of Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan to provide instant help to citizens in emergency conditions.
On a visit to propose site of emergency response center beneath Nagan Chowrangi Flyover, Municipal Commissioner said seven emergency response centers each at Gulshan Iqbal, NIPA, Baloch Colony, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Karimabad, Petrol Pump and Nazimabad Flyover would be setup in next ten to fifteen days while the emergency response centers at both sides of Nagan Chowrangi Flyover were already completed and fire tenders and ambulances were stationed there along with the city wardens.
Citizens will be informed about the contact numbers of these centers through newspapers. He said these centers were established to cater to the needs of increasing city population which would provide immediate help to citizens in any emergency condition.
