Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Monday arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 13 wine bottles, 235 ram heroin, one 32 bore revolver and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rafi Ullah from Bhara Kau police arrested three thieves identified as Waseem, Nasir, Sohail and recovered looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from their possession.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Akbar from Nilore police arrested a thief identified as Abdul Qadeer and recovered two stolen mobile phones, cash, one pistol and other items from his possession.
ASI Javed Iqbal from Shalimar police nabbed a bootlegger Shahid Shareef and recovered 13 wine bottles and one gallon of liquor from his cab (RIT-567). Sub-Inspector Muhammad Abbass from Koral police station arrested two drug pushers Riasat and Arshad for having a total of 235 gram heroin from them.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to enhance vigilance against anti-social elements
