Eight more Kashmiri youth killed by Indian troops in IOK

Srinagar, November 25, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred eight more Kashmiri youth, seven in Shopian district and one in Pulwama district, today.

Seven youth were killed by the troops during cordon and search operations and firing on protesters at Batagund in Kapran area of the district, early this morning. Six youth were killed when troops associated with 34-Rashtriya Rifles of Indian army, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operational Group destroyed a house during the operation. Five of them were identified as Umar Majid Ganai, Waseem Wagay, Abbas Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir and Khalid Farooq Malik, while the identity of the six youth could not be ascertained.

Another youth was killed when the troops opened indiscriminate fire on the people protesting against the killings in the same area. The martyred youth was identified as Nauman Ashraf Butt, resident of Kulgam. He was hit by bullet and was shifted to Kulgam district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Dozens of youth, some critically, were also injured in forces’ operation.

The troops killed one more youth in Khrew area of Pulwama district, today. The authorities suspended internet services in Shopian and other areas of the south Kashmir. Meanwhile, an Indian army man was killed and another injured in an attack in Kapran area of Shopian district.
