Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan on Tuesday directed all police officials to ensure effective security and patrolling plan on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha and make special deployment in various sectors.
He made these directions while presiding a crime meeting also attended by AIG (Operations) Sultan Azam Temuri, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik, SP Saddar Sajid Kiani, SP City Muhammad Ilyas, SP Industrial Area Ishaq Warraich, SP Rural Faisal Bashir Memon, SP Investigation Ch. Liaqat Ali, all Sub-Divisional Police Officers, In-Charge CIA, In-Charge ACLC and Station House Officers.
The IGP Bani Amin Khan directed for special deployment at shopping centers, markets, public places, cattle market and also at worship places. He said that no laxity will be tolerated in this regard and also appealed the citizens to cooperate with police or inform relevant police station before leaving the house on Eid occasion.
The IGP directed the police officials to take effective steps to control crime in the city and ensure arrest of proclaimed offender and other criminals at earliest involved in crimes of heinous nature. He also stressed for improvement in dealing at police stations and directed for addressing pubic complaints on priority.
The IGP said that an effective strategy is vital to control crime and also ordered to adopt a professional as well as responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of the people. He categorically asked to focus on resolving the public complaints, control car theft incidents in the city and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
The IGP said that he will not tolerate corruption and to purge those police officials from the force involved in corrupt practices.
He also directed all police officials performing duties at police stations to improve their performance and address the grievances of the masses on immediate basis following the merit to win the confidence and support of the people for the cops’ department.
The SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik stressed for speedy disposal of cases, investigation purely on merit and earliest arrest of criminals involved in various crime cases.”Policing is a service oriented job and every police official must serve the humanity with devotion,” the SSP maintained.
M. Yousuf Malik said that FIRs must be registered at police stations on merit, without any delay and inconvenience to the citizens. He also directed police officials for strict monitoring of the sluggish and corrupt cops and inform high ups for their involvement in any kind of such activities.
Muhammad Yousuf Malik also directed the police officials to brief their staff at the police pickets and keep them alert on Eid occasion to avoid any untoward incident. He ordered to ensure efficient and effective patrolling to control crime.
The SSP said that Islamabad Police is determined to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens and no stone will be leave unturned to accomplish this responsibility.
