Islamabad, January 05, 2016 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police adopted effective strategy to combat criminal elements during the previous year and such approach should be continued in 2016 for minimizing the crime rate. It was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations0 Sajid Kiani while speaking during a crime meeting held here on Tuesday. The meeting was attended among others by all SPs, SDPOs, SHOs and other police officials.
The SSP reviewed the performance of each police station and directed to accelerate efforts to combat criminal elements. He stressed for effective patrolling and asked that all Zonal and Circle police officials should reach the crime scene in case of any mishap. Mr. Kiani said that crime rate has come down during 2015 and such crime combating strategy to remain continues in the future. He ordered for effective surveillance in crime prone areas if any and arrangements of special briefing to the police employees by their officers for improving security measures.
The SSP asked police officials to identify the aptitude of their subordinates and assign them task as per their expertise. He asked SP CIA to arrange courses for the investigation officers to improve their professional attitude. Sajid Kiani said that all police employees must have knowledge for pursuing court summons as per law. He said that official sources must be utilized with responsibility and protection to the lives and property of the citizens must be ensured.
