Peshawar, September 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shoukatullah has said that education is the first key to success and we must have to take extraordinary steps in this sector to secure the future of our youth and the new generation.
He further stated that they were facing war since nine eleven and the whole world was looking to them due to the untoward situation, but the current situation could be changed and terrorism could also be eradicated through education.
This he said while addressing the Alumni Associationâ€™s ceremony regarding foundation day of the Islamia College, Peshawar University in Peshawar on Wednesday. Besides others Voice Chancellor of the Islamia College Peshawar Professor Dr. Ehsan Ali, President Alumni Association Ali Muhammad Jan Orackzai, members of the association professors and a large number of students also attended the ceremony.
The Governor Engineer Shoukatuulah said that they were confronting a highly risky situation due to terrorism and militancy. He said they should have to struggle collectively for controlling it. Talking about the government’s strategy for education in FATA he said that the government was committed to establish mini campus at the Islamia College University at Parachinar while FATA University had also been charted by the government which would start its working very soon.
He agreed upon the recommendations presented by the Voice Chancellor Ehsan Ali and assured that he would try his level best to contribute the institution. He also assured that release of the kidnapped voice chancellor Ajmal Khan would be ensured soon as all possible steps were being taken in this regard.
Later, the vice chancellor Dr. Ehsan Ali and president Alumni Association Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai presented souvenir to the Governor.
