Karachi: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has emphasized upon to build more link roads to lessen the traffic pressure in the city. He said this while chairing a high level meeting at The Governor House, which discussed the proposed Malir River Expressway project.
Governor said that the 50percent of the population of city would be directly benefited from the construction of this 37-kilometer expressway, while a road from Arabian Sea to Superhighway would prove a milestone to lessen the traffic congestion.
He said that these projects be designed in such a way that they would are linked the Education City, as well as, big universities of Karachi, adding such corridors would shorten the travel time and greatly benefit the commuters.
He further said that construction of the project should be completed in phases, keeping in view the availability of financial resources, and each phase be connected to another. On the occasion, Administrator Karachi briefed about the project.
