Ebad directs to take cleanliness measures, ensure surveillance cameras, walk through gates installed during Rabiul Awal procession routes

Karachi, January 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Sindh governor has asked the provincial chief minister (CM) to declare a holiday on Thursday (tomorrow), 11th of Rabiul Awal.

Presiding over a meeting convened on Tuesday to review the arrangements for 12th of Rabiul Awwal, Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan directed the administration to take proper measures for cleanliness and to ensure that the surveillance cameras and walk through gates installed along the procession routes were operational.

Dr Ebad assured the religious leaders and Ulema attending the meeting that the same arrangements made for maintaining law and order in the month of Muharram would be made in the month Rabiul Awwal. He said the local administration was prepared to face any untoward situation.
