Dukhtaran-e-Millat celebrates Pakistan Day in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 23, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat organized a function in Srinagar, today, to celebrate the National Day of Pakistan participants of the gathering sang Pakistan’s national anthem and waved Pakistani flag.

Addressing on the occasion, the DeM Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, said, “We have gathered here, despite challenging times, to express our unity with our holy land (Pakistan) and convey to the world that Kashmiri Muslims want to live and die with the Muslims of Pakistan.”

Pertinently, the DeM activists have waved Pakistani flag despite the recent warning issued by Indian Army Chief, Bipin Rawat, that the people displaying Pakistani flag and raising pro-Pakistan slogans will be dealt with sternly.

Meanwhile, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF), Advocate Devinder Singh, addressing a gathering in Jammu has felicitated the people of Pakistan o their National Day. He said that since its independence, Pakistan had been played a vital role in international political affairs and economic developments. Singh said, Pakistan openly supports the right to self-determination of Kashmiris, who were thankful to this country for its continued moral, political and diplomatic support for their just cause. He also strongly condemned the puppet authorities for not allowing Hurriyet leaders to attend Pakistan Day function at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi.

On the other hand, the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Bahenji, the General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League and the Executive Director of a local human rights forum Voice of Victims, Abdul Qadeer, in their separate statements felicitated the Pakistanis on the occasion of their National Day.
