Driver injured in clashes with troops dies in IHK

Srinagar, March 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a 24-year-old auto-driver, injured in clashes with Indian forces during protest demonstration in Islamabad district last week, has succumbed to his injuries in a Srinagar hospital. The locals said that the driver, Riyaz Ahmad Khanday, who was injured in clashes on March 8 at Tikbagh Mattan in the district died at Soura Medical Institute on Monday night.

The clashes had erupted between Indian forces and protesters in the district last week following the killing of a youth by Indian troops in unprovoked firing in Baramulla town. Riyaz Ahmad Khanday is survived by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
