Islamabad: Minister Incharge for National Harmony Dr. Paul Bhatti has urged the followers of all faiths to raise down the walls of division and hatred and get united against the evil forces which are bent upon damaging the image of Pakistan and creating distances between all the religion communities of the country.
He expressed these views while addressing the Christian community at the prayer ceremony of Eester at Catholic Church Satellite Town here on Sunday. He cut the cake of Easter and distributed sweet’s packages among more than one hundred children. He also sent food for the prisoners at Adiala Jail.
The minister showed his pleasure to observe Easter with them as it is very important day for the Christian community. He said he will continue to work for peace, love and tolerance from the plate forms of Ministry of National Harmony and All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA).
“Let us work for tolerance, peace and prosperity to make Pakistan the country of Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who in his address to the Members of Pakistan’s first Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947 declared equal rights and freedom to express faith”. Dr. Paul asked the people.
He appealed all Pakistanis to get united under one national flag. The white colour of our flag shows that minorities are integral part of the society. Like colours of our flag, minorities cannot be separated from the majority, he added.
He said APMA is playing its role for the basic rights of the minorities and urged them to pray for peace and prosperity of the country on the occasion of Easter.
