DPM flays crackdown on youth

Srinagar, April 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah has criticized the ongoing crackdown on youth in Kashmir.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, Firdous Ahmad Shah said that hundreds of youth were being arrested and harassed in and outside the territory.

“This shows how the Kashmiris are being treated in India. Before venturing out of Kashmir, our youth have to think thousand time as they are being harassed unnecessarily,” he added.

Meanwhile, other Hurriyet leaders and organizations including Zafar Akbar Butt, Yasmeen Raja, Bashir Ahmad Andrabi, Abdul Ahad Parra and National Front in their statements said that people would continue freedom struggle till its logical conclusion. They urged world community to take notice of the current situation in Kashmir.
