District Coordination Officer Karachi Takes Notice of Cutting of Trees at Shahrah Faisal

Karachi: District Coordination Officer for Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh has taken strict notice of the cutting of trees near Awami Markaz at Shahrah Faisal.

During a detailed visit of one of the busiest city corridor on Wednesday along with Director General Parks and Horticulture Liaquat Ali Khan he issued directive to conduct inquiry into the incident and take action against the people involved in the cutting of trees and submit the report.

DCO Karachi also instructed Parks, Municipal Services and Works and Services Department of City Government to take measures for making this road a model corridor of the city.

He said that Shahrah Faisal is considered the most important road of the city which is also used by the foreigners in their access to other city areas; therefore its beautification should be taken on priority.

DCO Karachi directed concerned officers to carry out repair and carpeting work on this road wherever it requires. He also directed Parks Department to arrange for more greenery at this corridor so that it could be transformed into a model road of the city.
