Lahore, December 19, 2012 (PPI-OT): The District Coordination Officer (DCO) Wednesday formed a three-member committee headed by an Assistant Commissioner to solve Parking, Traffic and Encroachment issues at Camera and Photo Goods Market.
The DCO Noorul Amin Mengal was talking to Chairman Anjuman-e-Tajiran Photo Goods Market and LCCI Executive Committee Member Nasir Saeed during a visit to the market along with a team of all concerned officers. Advisor to the Chief Minister on Trade Mohammad Ali Mian was also present on the occasion.
The Committee headed by Assistant Commissioner Saira Umer and comprising Chairman Chairman Anjuman-e-Tajiran Photo Goods Market Nasir Saeed, President of Chairman Anjuman-e-Tajiran Photo Goods Market Mian Zaheer and Secretary General Haji Rahat will meet on monthly basis to evaluate progress on Parking, Traffic and Encroachment issues.
The area businessmen informed the DCO that the fast increasing encroachments and non-availability of Parking site is causing undue damage to the business activities in the market that is one of the largest markets of photo goods in the country.
The DCO said that the all available resources would be utilized to ensure the smooth running of businesses as the government believes in private sector growth.
He said that the government is also alive to the law and order situation and is making foolproof arrangements so the business community could be able to do business with peace of mind.
Earlier, Chairman Anjuman-e-Tajiran Photo Goods Market Nasir Saeed gave a detailed briefing to the DCO on the day-to-day issues being faced by the businessmen. He appreciated the Chief Minister Punjab for his all out efforts aimed at turning the province a hub of business activities. He stressed the need for early provision of parking site for the market for the smooth flow of traffic.
