Islamabad: Lt. General Sardar Mehmood Ali Khan, Deputy Chairman, ERRA, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here today at Prime Minister’s House.
The Prime Minister appreciated the services of the Deputy Chairman, ERRA in rehabilitation and reconstruction of earthquake hit areas in AJ and K and KPK by building infrastructure, schools, hospitals and a large number of housing units.
The Prime Minister maintained that the dual carriage way between Lower Topa and Kohala was already complete and its extension up to Muzaffarabad would provide greater convenience to the people travelling to AJ and K Capital.
The Prime Minister said that he also announced the construction of international airport in AJ and K which would greatly facilitate the travel of overseas Kashmiris. He further said that the completion of dual carriage way and international airport would be best thing to happen in AJ and K which would give a boost to local economy and tourism industry in particular.
The Prime Minister gave a memento to the outgoing Deputy Chairman ERRA as a token of the government’s appreciation for his meritorious services in the rehabilitation of earthquake affected areas.
