Srinagar, April 27, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) staged a demonstration in Srinagar, today, to protest against the imposition of curfew and other restrictions in the city by the authorities to prevent people from offering funeral prayers in absentia of prominent liberation leader, Amanullah Khan.
Despite restrictions, a large number of JKLF leaders and activists as well as human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Unto, and Hurriyet leaders including Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Tahoor Sidiqi and Ajaz-ul-Haq participated in demonstration held at Basant Bagh in Srinagar. The protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. The funeral prayers in absentia of Amanullah Khan was held in Kupwara.
