Delhi licensed its forces to kill Kashmiris: Gilani

Srinagar, October 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that New Delhi has given its armed forces a free license under draconian laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act and Disturbed Areas Act to carry out genocide in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that puppet Chief Minister Umar Abdullah was also turning a blind eye towards these killings by the Indian troops. He rejected the puppet chief minister’s order for judicial probe into the Shopian killings, saying that such announcements by the occupation authorities had become a joke in the territory.

The APHC spokesman and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement Senior Vice Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in their separate statements said that the announcement was an attempt to hoodwink the Kashmiris.

The authorities slapped draconian Public Safety Act on detained Mir Hafeezullah for the fourth time and shifted him to Heeranagar jail in Jammu.

JKLF-R Chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar addressing a party meeting in Srinagar, said that India had converted the territory into a large prison where killings were taking place on daily basis.

Hurriyet leader, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and human rights activist Mohammad, Ahsan Untoo visited Jammu and expressed solidarity with the family members of one Feroz Bashir Ahangar, who was recently martyred by Indian troops in Jammu.

Amid growing demand for disbanding Indian army-backed Village Defense Committees (VDC), the authorities in response to a question admitted that the VDC members had been misusing weapons.

Four Indian troops were critically injured in an attack at Shalbatu Trehgam in Kupwara.
