Islamabad: “A lawyer being a professional, always remains in the pursuit of the legal knowledge and he should work hard to assist the Courts so as to provide justice to litigants at their door steps” said the Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary while taking to the delegation of Sadiqabad Bar Association headed by Mr. Waqas Ahmed, General Secretary and comprising on Mr. Israr-ul-Haq Cheema, Khalid Bin Saeed and Asghar Ali Chaudhry who called on his lordship today i.e. 03.01.2011 in Supreme Court Building, Islamabad.
Talking to the delegation, his lordship also admired the role of legal fraternity in Lawyer’s Movement in which they stood firm during the Judicial Crises and struggled hard to bring rule of law in the society through peaceful efforts.
The members of Bar also appreciated his Lordship’s struggle and efforts in the days of lawyers’ movement which is unique in the global history and informed about their struggle and sacrifice during the days of the movement. They assured the Honourable Chief Justice of their full support and cooperation.
They expressed the hope that the administration of justice needs his bold and benign leadership and motivation to deliver justice to the public at large. They said that the public have reposed great confidence in the judiciary.
The members discussed the issues and matters of interest of legal/judicial fraternity and informed his lordship about the hardships faced by them and requested for construction of chambers and judicial complex at Sadiqabad to facilitate the lawyers and litigants.
The Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan assured them to take up the matter with the concerned authorities. They also praised his lordship’s efforts for dispensation of justice and told that his lordship is a ray of hope for society and fountain of wisdom for lawyers and prayed for his long life.
