Karachi, March 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): A 12 member delegation of Dawoodi Bohra Community headed by Mr. Mansoor Ali today called on Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Mr. Justice (Retd) Zahid Kurban Alavi at Chief Minister House. The delegation thanked the Caretaker Chief Minister on assumption of new assignment and expressed good wishes to him. Talking to members of Bohra Community, the Caretaker Chief Minister maintained that he wants to improve the condition and hygienic situation of Karachi and want to ensure that life is improved in the City.
He informed that the elections will be held on time and directives have been issued to police, rangers and law enforcing agencies to take prompt action against criminals and anti-social elements, without any discrimination whether someone is powerful or weak.
The Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh informed the delegation that directives were issued to remove tinted glasses from all government vehicles and that campaign was started from Chief Minister House / Secretariat . Mr. Justice ( R) Zahid Kurban Alavi added that officers have been asked to implement the directives in letter and spirit, else the action will be taken against violating officers.
He said that a team of good, dedicated, devoted, honest officers has been selected to follow and implement the polices of caretaker government. Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh added that confidence building measures are being taken for improving the working and performance in the province.
He said that violating vehicle owners are being fined on spot, instead of impounding the vehicles. Regarding Law and Order situation, the caretaker Chief Minister Sindh said that he had taken over since few days and former government had also efforted to control the lawlessness Mr. Alavi added that it is our endeaour to strictly maintain Law and Order and in this connection, political people will also be approached and talked, and Insha Allah the situation will be made normal with regard to local government system, the caretaker Chief Minister Sindh informed that necessary measures have already been made and it will be the task to make cities, towns and villages neat and clean.
Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh assured the Dawood Bohra Community that we want to see some progress in Sindh, and for that peaceful atmosphere. He stressed upon people of Karachi to accelerate their trade and business activities.
