Islamabad, December 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): A 08 Member delegation of Balochistan Bar Association headed by its President, Mr. Rehmat Ullah Brich and other office bearers/members of the Bar Association called on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary today i.e. 17-12-2012 in Supreme Court, Islamabad.
Welcoming the delegation the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan said that the Bar is an integral part of the judicial Administration and the legal fraternity played a vital role for rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution in the country. His lordship also commended the role played by Balochistan Bar for the Constitutionalism, rule of law and supremacy of constitution.
The members of the delegation briefed the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan with regard to problems and issues faced by the Balochistan Bar and discussed the matters with regard to the security problems in Balochistan.
The issues with regard to NJPMC were also discussed and the delegation intimated the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan that the performance in Balochistan is much better and the judges and lawyers in Balochistan perform their functions till late hours to achieve the target. They however, made a request for arrangement of lawyers training.
The members of the delegation made request to the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan for constitution of benches of Supreme Court and Federal Sheriat Court at Quetta in the month of January, 2013 so that pending cases may be disposed off expeditiously. With regard to constitution of Benches for hearing of cases at Quetta, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan said that the Benches at Quetta had been constituted in past and will be constituted in future as well.
The members of the delegation invited the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan to visit Balochsitan Bar. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan conveyed his gratitude, extended his thanks and assured to visit the Quetta Bar.
