Danish Minister for Culture enjoys Rahat Khan Concert in Copenhagen

Islamabad, November 07, 2012 (PPI-OT): “You are amazing! What energy. This is exactly the energy that Denmark needs. I just don’t understand one thing – Why are you all not dancing?” asked Minister Elbaek during a short speech at the concert. The crowd clapped, got up and danced, singing with pure joy and large smiles.

With 1.700 sold out tickets, this was the largest Pakistani-Indian concert ever arranged in Denmark. The concert was arranged by a local event management company, DesiWorld at the prestigious Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s concert crew has also expressed high satisfaction with the event and during an evaluation given the concert top marks in terms of planning, audience, sales and location, ranking Denmark as the top place out of its entire Europe tour.

Denmark has more than 40,000 Danes of Pakistani origin, who remain deeply connected to Pakistan and its heritage culture.
